  • d sports Drill Clinic and Tryouts:  March 21-23 will be drill clinics with tryouts being held March 24th.  Packets, times and more information to come later.

    Any junior who is interesting in attending Girls State or Boys State should see Mrs. Steab in the counseling center for more information.

    HOSA is sponsoring an art contest to raise awareness for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, otherwise known as NAMI. Artwork should show how someone could help another with a mental illness. Submit your artwork to the main office by February 24th to enter!. The artwork will be displayed at Taco Time on the night of February 25th and visitors and families will vote for their favorite. The top three entries will win $20 gift cards to Fiiz, Wendy's, or YogoTogo.

    Attention Juniors,

    There are still openings for the Internship program for 2017-2018 school year. You have the opportunity to test drive the career of your choice while receiving high school credit! You can work side-by-side with a professional in your chosen career field to learn the benefits, challenges, and opportunities of the job. Internships are available in all types of careers. An internship class is a great opportunity to find out if your chosen career is right for you!

    Applications are available from Mrs. Olsen in the counseling center or in Mrs. Rosier’s room, 1401. Applications for next year are due March 17.  Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to experience an internship! Turn in an application today!


    shoes The Interact club will be collecting gently used shoes for children in need until St. Patrick's Day. All shoe sizes are needed. Please tie the laces together and bring them to room 2414. You can also work off a U by donating 30 pairs of shoes. Thanks for helping out!

    2/28 Tuesday: 3:15 @ DHS Football Field

    3/1 Wednesday: 3:15 @ DHS Football Field (If made 1st cut)

    3/2 Thursday: 3:15 @ Ponds Park (If made 2nd cut)

    All girls interested in trying out for softball need to meet in Coach Zachman's room (1318) on Friday Feb 24 right after school for a short informational meeting.


    Tryout's for the boys' tennis team will be held Monday, March 6th at 3:00 on the Davis High tennis courts and conclude Thursday, March 9th.  Anyone interested in trying out must create an account on and complete the tryout checklist form.  If you have any other questions please email Coach Wahlstrom at


    Petitions for 2017-2018 Student Body Officer and Dartman Elections are available now in Miss Hyer's room, 2803.  Candidates must be current juniors who have a 3.0 cumulative and 2nd term GPA and no Us. Petitions are due Friday, February 24th by 2:30 pm.  A mandatory election meeting will be held Monday, February 27th at 6:30 am in room 2803.


    Morp will be Friday, March 24th. The theme is thrift shop and the dance is Dart choice - we will be alternating weeks when it will be boys or girls choice. Asking can begin on Monday, February 20th. The first week February 20-26 is boys choice. The second week February 27-March 4 is girls choice.  March 6-11 will be boys choice and March 13-18 will be girls choice.  The dress code is casual.  School dress code and dance policy will be enforced.

  • Who's Awesome Dog

    Congratulations to Anthony Combs for winning the State American Legion Oratorical Competition this last Saturday. Anthony will go on to the national competition in Indianapolis some time in April to represent the great State of Utah and Davis High.  Good Luck Anthony!


    The robotics team worked to defend our home turf Saturday and kept the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at Davis High. Team Mythical Majestic MANTIS took first place, teams How do you turn this on and Quinning took second, and teams Vicious & Delicious and Radioactive Bananas took Third. It was a great weekend to be a Dart!


    Congratulations to the following Davis High Sterling Scholars who have advanced to the semi-final round of competition: Sara Cutright, Tom Waite, Emily Hoagland, Ashley Taylor, Madelyn Johnson, Brooklyn Hatch, Robert Song, Daniel Zubeldia, Carson Robb, Sydnee Rayl, and Hanna Gemmperline. Good luck in the next round of competition!
