  • New Tardy Policy

     
    Review of the New Tardy Policy for 4th term: Remember students, you will no longer be sent to the office with a tardy referral for receiving your 3rd, 4th, 5th, and so on tardy. Instead, the office will be running a report every Friday and will be issuing consequences as follows:
     
    Step 1: 5-8 tardies range- Lunch detention, 10 points, parent notification of this consequence and the next consequence.
    Step 2: 9-12 tardies range- 1 hour after school service- 15 points- parent notification
    Step 3: 13-18 tardies range- 1 day ISS, 2 hours after school service- 20 points, parent notification
    Step 4: 19-25 tardies range- Administrative U, Parent Meeting Required.
    Step 5: 26-30 tardies range- 1 day suspension, Youth Court Referral, 25 points
    Step 6: 31+ tardies range- 2 day suspension, parent meeting, reduction of class schedule
     
    So…get to your classes on time or you may quickly find yourself stuck with these consequences.

  • 'Something excellent' happening at Central Davis
     
    Congratulations to Central Davis Junior High's faculty, students and parents. The school was recently recognized by the district with a "Learning First Achievement Award." The honor came after ninth-grade students' scores on the Explore test jumped by more than three percentile points. Way to go Central students, faculty and parents!
