Please come and enjoy a delicious meal at Chick fil-A in Centerville on Monday, February 8th, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., during which time a portion of the money you spend on your meal will come back to Holbrook Elementary! No fliers are needed for this dinner night.
Birthday tables will be held during your student's regularly scheduled lunch time. You are invited to bring your student a special lunch and celebrate with them in the activity room on the following birthday table days: February - Monday, February 29th, 2016.
Please make sure your student is dressed for the weather. Unless we have inclement weather conditions, all students are expected to go outside during recess.
We have a new indoor marquee. If you would like to recognize your child’s birthday on the marquee, you will need to fill out a form (available in the office) with child’s name, birthdate, fun information, and who is wishing them a great birthday. There will be a $5.00 charge. It will be displayed for one week on the marquee. We will update once a week. This needs to be submitted to Mrs. King in the office no later than the Thursday prior to your child’s birthday. If you have any questions please contact the office.
As winter is upon us, the Davis School District reminds parents and students about procedures it uses when considering school closures for inclement weather.
If the superintendent decides to close schools, that decision will be made as early as possible and before school buses hit the roadways.
In the event of a closure, the district will contact all area radio and TV stations. News about the closure will also be posted here and on Facebook and Twitter. Stations will only be notified when schools close. They will not be contacted when schools remain open.
If schools close a full day because of weather, the school day, by state law, must be made up.
Parents are also reminded they may keep their student home anytime they feel it is unsafe for them to travel to school. When that occurs, arrangements will need to be made with their teacher for any missed assignments.
