    CONGRATULATIONS to our 5A STATE CHAMPION Girls Soccer Team!!!  They beat Lone Peak 2-1.

     

    State Football: The first round of the state football tournament is this Friday, October 31st. Davis is hosting the Jordan Beetdiggers.  Game begins at 3:00.  This is a state game, so everyone will need to purchase a ticket. Student tickets are $4, adult tickets are $8.

    BROWN OUT GAME! Friday's game is a BROWN OUT. Wear your brown to the game. 

     

    Pre-game Trunk or Treat Tailgate!: A trunk or treat tailgate will be held in the west parking lot at 2:00 pm Friday. Come trick or treat before the game. 


    Spirit Shirts:
    Show your DHP and purchase a Dart Strong spirit shirt for $5.  They will be on sale in the commons during lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

    Key Club UNICEF Fundraiser: For only $1, after school on Thursday October 30th, you can purchase a piece of tape that will be used to tape Mr. Firmage to a pole in the commons area.  The money raised will be donated to the United Nations International Children’s Fund. unicef


    Science Olympiad:
    Science Olympiad at Davis high School will be ran this year through Centennial Junior High.
    Please come to room 2313 for a sign up sheet!

     Congratulations! The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams placed 2nd in State Wednesday. Congratulations to both teams on a great season!

  • Wrestling: A mandatory wrestling meeting will be held Tuesday, November 4th at 2:45 pm in the wrestling room.
     

    Citizenship U Make-up Classes:   U make-up classes are scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th, Thursday, November 6th and Tuesday, November 11.   All U's must be cleared to participate in sports or extra curricular activities.  The fee for the class is $5.00 and should be paid before the class.   Please see Mrs. Gale in the office to sign up. 

    Alive@25 Defensive Driving Course will be held at Davis High on Monday, November 24, 2014.   This 4 hour course is taught by an instructor from the Utah Safety Council.  This cost of the class is $30.00 and will clear 2 U's in citizenship and will restore 50 points to your driving record.   See Mrs. Gale in the office to sign up.

  • Yearbooks: For the next two weeks yearbooks can still be bought for $47.50, but as of November 1st, yearbooks will cost $52.50

    Reflections Contest: The world would be a better place if... is the contest theme.  Reflect on the theme then create an original work in one of the following categories: 3-dimensional art, dance choreography, literature, visual arts, film production, photography and music composition.  Entries are due Monday, November 10th.  Entry forms and rules can be found at www.utahpta.org/reflections.  Contact dhspta15@gmail.com for additional information.

     
    VEX Robotics: The Davis High VEX Robotics team competed in their first regional competition of the year and came away with the first and second place trophies. In first place was Isaac Froisland, in second was Kyle Hilton, Ryan Cook, and Josh Anderl. Great way to start the year. 
     

    DECA: Congratulations to the Team Marketing members from Davis DECA who participated in the LDS Business College Marketing Invitational.  Winners include: Ben Bohman, Ethan Hansen, Michael Harris, Evan West, Kallie Hanni, Kyle Yerman, Andrew Pearson, Sydney Larson, Bronson Smith and Katelyn Wickizer.

    Special congratulations to Individual Champions: Ben Bohman, Kalli Hanni and Evan West.

    Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
