    Don't Trash Davis! October 13- 24th is Don't trash Davis weeks. Take pride in your school and throw away all your trash and garbage. If you see trash on the ground in the school or parking lot, pick it up! Keep it CLASSY Davis High!

    Davis High Key Club’s Annual Pumpkin Carving
    will be held Monday October 27th  after school in the cafeteria area.  All are welcome to come help carve pumpkins.  We have 100 pumpkins to carve so come show off your mad carving skills.  Pumpkins will be displayed that night for the Utah House’s Pumpkin Palooza Celebration!

    Key Club UNICEF Fundraiser: For only $1, after school on Thursday October 30th, you can purchase a piece of tape that will be used to tape Mr. Firmage to a pole in the commons area.  The money raised will be donated to the United Nations International Children’s Fund. unicef



    Science Olympiad:
    Science Olympiad at Davis high School will be ran this year through Centennial Junior High.
    Please come to room 2313 for a sign up sheet!

    State Soccer Finals: Davis plays Lone Peak in the final round of the state tournament on Friday October 24th.  The game is at Rio Tinto Stadium at 4:30 pm.  Tickets are required and are $4 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets can be purchased in the office.

     

    Congratulations! The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams placed 2nd in State Wednesday. Congratulations to both teams on a great season!

  • purple pinkies Purple Pinky Week: Interact club will be in the commons at lunch raising funds for polio immunizations in developing countries.  Stop by their table to donate a dollar, dip your pink in purple ink and save a life!

     

    Sterling Scholars:
    The applications for Sterling Scholars are due this Friday, October 24th to Ms. Anderson in room 2204. Applications are accessible on the school shared drive. They must be typed and a unofficial transcript attached to the application. Please see Ms. Anderson if you have any questions.

     

    Spirit Shirts: Spirit shirts are available for purchase in the commons during lunch. Shirts are $5.

  • Halloween Dance: The Halloween Dance, a girls choice dance, is Saturday 25 October. It will be held in the cafeteria from 7-10 pm.  Tickpumpkin and haunted house ets are $15 per couple and will be on sale during lunch in the commons 20-24 October.  Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.  School dress code will be enforced.  No mask or cross dressing allowed. 


    Yearbooks:
    For the next two weeks yearbooks can still be bought for $47.50, but as of November 1st, yearbooks will cost $52.50

     

    Graduation and Class Ring Orders: Jostens will be in the commons on Wednesday 29 October to take graduation and class ring orders 

     
    Reflections Contest: The world would be a better place if... is the contest theme.  Reflect on the theme then create an original work in one of the following categories: 3-dimensional art, dance choreography, literature, visual arts, film production, photography and music composition.  Entries are due Monday, November 10th.  Entry forms and rules can be found at www.utahpta.org/reflections.  Contact dhspta15@gmail.com for additional information.

    Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 Microsoft is now offering a free Microsoft Office subscription to our students as part of their District Office 365 account. This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
