    Don't Trash Davis! October 13- 24th is Don't trash Davis weeks. Take pride in your school and throw away all your trash and garbage. If you see trash on the ground in the school or parking lot, pick it up! Keep it CLASSY Davis High!


    Sophomore Plan Test:  On Tuesday, October 21st, all sophomores will be taking the PLAN test.  Sophomores will report to their advisory at 7:30 on this normally late start day.  Sophomores make sure you show up on time and bring a calculator. Juniors and seniors will begin school at 10:30;  faculty will not be available to you before that time as they are involved in testing.

    State Soccer Semi-finals: Davis plays Brighton today in the semi-final round of the state tournament.  The game is at Juan Diego and begins at 11:00 am.  Tickets are required and are $4 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets will be on sale at Juan Diego. Davis is the home team and fans will sit on the west side of field.  Students going to the game must have their parents excuse their absence. 
    Picture Retakes: Picture retakes will happen on Tuesday 21 October 2014 during lunch and after school in the foyer of the auditorium.

  • purple pinkies Purple Pinky Week: Interact club will be in the commons at lunch raising funds for polio immunizations in developing countries.  Stop by their table to donate a dollar, dip your pink in purple ink and save a life!

    FCCLA: FCCLA's Region Activity at Black Island Farms is on Wednesday Oct. 22, at 5:00 pm.  Cost is $3 for Corn Maze $6 for Corn Maze Hayride, and Court Yard Activities.  Guests cost $5 and $8.  Hot Chocolate and Donuts will be served. Let Mrs. Beutler know by Mon. Oct. 20 if you plan to attend.

    Sterling Scholars:
    The applications for Sterling Scholars are due this Friday, October 24th to Ms. Anderson in room 2204. Applications are accessible on the school shared drive. They must be typed and a unofficial transcript attached to the application. Please see Ms. Anderson if you have any questions.


    Spirit Shirts: Spirit shirts are available for purchase in the commons during lunch. Shirts are $5.

    Citizenship Make-up: There will be a U make-up class this Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 2:30 - 4:30.   Cost of the class is $5.00 and will clear 1 U in citizenship.   Please see Mrs. Gale in the Main office to sign up.
    Chess Club: Chess club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school in the library.  Stop by and play this week!
    HOSA: HOSA will meet every Thursday A-day at lunch in room 2414. We will do a variety of activities on these days including medical movies, games, and preparing for the state and national competitions.  Come and be apart of our great organization!

  • Halloween Dance: The Halloween Dance, a girls choice dance, is Saturday 25 October. It will be held in the cafeteria from 7-10 pm.  Tickpumpkin and haunted house ets are $15 per couple and will be on sale during lunch in the commons 20-24 October.  Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.  School dress code will be enforced.  No mask or cross dressing allowed. 

    Congratulations to the girls tennis team who took 2nd in state this weekend!  Individual state champions are Eliza Hafen, Whitney Turley and Breezy Turley. Breezy is a 4-time state champion!

This subscription allows students to install a full version of the Microsoft Office 2013 software at home on up to 5 devices. Software versions include Office 2013 for PC, Office 2011 for Mac, and Office Mobile for iPhone or Android.
